VESTAS will attend the first R-energy Exhibition in Argentina

Presentation at Retech 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada
From February 25 to 27, over 3,000 world leaders in renewable energy gathered in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA at Retech 2009 – the Renewable Energy Technology Conference and Exhibition. The show was hosted by ACORE, the American Council On Renewable Energy at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Retech date was also a good opportunity for R-energy to present itself on the US American renewable energy market.

Several Latin American Official Entities confirm their patronage
R-energy, the first global initiative to create a comprehensive global expo and congress network for the renewable energy industry, gets more and more support. Five months before the show will be held from 10 to 12 June 2009 in the Golden Centre in Buenos Aires, Argentina, R-energy is assured the official patronages of more than seventeen of the most important Latin-American entities, chambers of commerce, embassies and ministries. Furthermore there is a number of fifteen agreements signed with the most important international media about renewal energy industry.
FIRST EUROPEAN RENEWABLE ENERGY FAIR IN BRAZIL
Three renowned European fairs, German SURVEY MARKETING, Italian VERONA FIERE and Spanish FERIA DE ZARAGOZA – will meet in Brazil to celebrate, for the first time, a great renewable energy event, whose aim is to promote the generation of wind energy, sun energy, hydro energy, thermal energy, geothermal energy and energy coming from Biomass (Biofuels, Biogas).

For the first time, three exhibition organizers have established an alliance to exchange knowledge and resources and to organize events together. As announced by the General Director of Veronafiere, Giovanni Mantovani, “the initial purpose is the organization of two expo-conferences dedicated to energy from renewable sources in countries that are steadily growing both in the generation and consumption of renewable energy”. The first two events under the brand “R-energy” will take place in Buenos Aires (10-12 June 2009) and Sao Paulo (17-19 June 2009).
First wind farm in Nicaragua
The first wind farm in Nicaragua enters service next month, and 40 MW of power will cover more than 6% of electricity demand.
World Bank funding for green energy in Argentina
The World Bank approved a loan of 50 million dollars for the development of renewable sources in rural Argentina. The World Bank granted a loan of 50 million dollars to support renewable energy projects in the Rural Electricity Market (PERMER), which aims to increase renewable technologies for sustainable energy production in rural areas of Argentina.
